HVS and Serviced Apartment News hosted the second in a series of investors breakfasts designed to bring together serviced apartment investors and operators, to consider the challenges faced and future requirements from an investors perspective and how best work together.

The investors in the room ranged from those who are already active in the serviced apartment and extended stay sector to those looking to find their first opportunity.

Topics discussed at the round table included:

the hotel investment community's understanding of the product, quality of operators and brands;

the (perceived) risk of the serviced apartment sector compared to the hotel sector;

what are the requirements for the sector to break into the more mainstream hospitality investment market?;

how can operators / developers role out brands on a larger scale in Europe with investment backing?
