House of Fisher selects protel PMS software
UK: South-east England serviced apartment operator chooses Xn Hotel System software.
House of Fisher provides serviced accommodation in the Thames
Valley and South Central regions, primarily for the corporate
market, but also with a presence in the leisure sector.
Driven by expansion and new openings, including the 100 Kings Road
apart-hotel in Reading, the company says it identified the need to
"implement a reservation system that would deliver efficiencies
across the operation, whilst being flexible enough to support the
unique requirements of the serviced apartment sector. Key criteria
included billing mechanisms to comply with advance payment and VAT
requirements, integrity of financial reporting, mobile
functionality for housekeeping and other departments, and exposure
to key distribution channels".
Following a review of systems on the market, Xn Hotel Systems was
chosen to implement protel Multi-Property Edition (MPE) PMS. House
of Fisher says that "key to this decision was Xn's track record in
the serviced apartment industry, both in the UK and
internationally, as well as the ability to customise protel to
House of Fisher's needs and to provide functional mobile apps for a
number of different operational requirements".
Finance director Duncan Mayes said: "We spoke to several of our
industry peers as part of our evaluation process and Xn/protel
stood out as the most flexible solution with the best fit to our
needs."
Alan O'Riordan, MD of Xn Hotel Systems, said: "We are delighted to
partner with House of Fisher at this pivotal point in their growth.
Protel MPE, combined with Xn-developed customisations, is now
installed in multiple serviced apartment groups worldwide, managing
a total of more than 20,000 apartments. We have invested
significantly in this sector, which has been underserved for many
years, and are pleased to further consolidate our market leading
position."
