International Hospitality Media (IHM) is rescheduling the inaugural URBAN LIVING FESTIVAL (ULF) from this July until November 25 and 26 2020.

The event will take place at the original venue, Tobacco Dock in London.

IHM CEO Piers Brown said: “We have been continually monitoring developments and following the latest guidance from government, and amid the current level of uncertainty, we have made the decision to reschedule ULF. We remain optimistic that in November the industry will very much need to come together, share knowledge, deepen connections and in some instances completely reinvent their business across a variety of hospitality and real estate asset classes”

“We will work with the event advisory board and all of our existing sponsors and those yet to come on board to focus on an ‘of the moment’ programme which will help recalibrate business opportunities in the post-pandemic landscape,” he added.

URBAN LIVING FESTIVAL 2020 (ULF) is the only leadership and investment event for urban innovators and investors at the cutting edge of contemporary hospitality, real estate and living, to collectively define the future of how and where people stay, live and work. Changing demographics, and social and economic drivers are fuelling investment decisions as investors put a greater focus on Urban Living asset classes including:
• Hotels and serviced apartments
• Aparthotels / extended stay hotels
• Hostels, co-living and co-working
• Build-to-rent (BTR) and student accommodation
• Short-term rentals
• Senior living
• Healthy buildings, sustainability and wellness
• PropTech

Incorporating the IHM events: Serviced Apartment Summit Europe, Boutique and Lifestyle Hotel Summit and the ENGAGE corporate travel buyer forum, ULF places the spotlight directly on investment, development, supply, operations, brands, distribution and demand generators in the age of convergence.

Sponsors signed up already include Nomad Aparthotels, BridgeStreet, Yays, Staycity, STR, Blue Orchid Hotels, The Residence, Avvio, Stasher, We Wash and Lavanda.

Lavanda CEO Fred Lerche-Lerchenborg said “These are difficult times for hospitality and real estate. As a sponsor, I think it’s a prudent move by IHM for ULF 2020 to take place later in the year. The new dates offer Lavanda and the hospitality and real estate market more than eight months to reset and target the business opportunities ULF 2020 will undoubtedly present.”

IHM’s next event, URBAN LIVING MEA 2020, September 20-21, continues as planned at Rove hotel and LetsWork, Dubai Marina, Dubai. Sponsors include EMAAR, Nomad Aparthotels, RMS and more.
